3 Style-Forward Fonts for Brand & Web Design

Strategically choosing a font pairing for brand or web design is one of the best parts of the creative process – but it’s also tedious and time-consuming.

Our studio has combed through hundreds of free and paid fonts over the years to hand-select the best of the best, and today we’re sharing three style-forward fonts that are the perfect match for e-commerce, lifestyle and beauty brands.

Cyrene

Cyrene is a free font that’s equal parts quirky and luxe. We love it for it’s movement and differently weighted ligatures, and it looks just as beautiful in lowercase as it does in all caps.

Umerica Condensed

Sometimes serif fonts can feel tired and run-of-the-mill, but Umerica Condensed is different. We love using it as an accent font or subheader font in web design, and it looks beautiful in print and digital use. The best part? Each font within the Umerica family is $4 each, so stock up on one (or all!) of your favorites.

UPDATE: as of January 2023, Umerica is now free in the Shadow Regular and Shadow Italic, with all other regular, wide and condensed styles available for purchase for $4 per license.

New York

Over the last year we’ve seen a rise in brands using luxe, elevated serif fonts in their branding. And while we’re not huge on always following design trends, we have to give a shoutout to New York – because it’s a beautiful font. This font is perfect for high-end, editorial brands and is free for personal use.
