I'm Moving! And Other Updates

What a few last months this has been. From the design overhaul and relaunch of That Working Girl to making a huge career and life decision, 2016 is already proving that it most likely has several more surprises awaiting me!

When I first moved to Denver from my home state of Georgia a year and a half ago, I had no idea what was in store for me. I moved without a job lined up (something I wouldn't necessarily recommend, but it worked!), and when I happened upon an incredible opportunity to lead social media and digital marketing for a boutique hotel, I went after it, and amazing things happened. I've learned so much about myself while living in Denver: I now know that I'm capable of condensing my life into what will fit into the back of a hatchback, finding an apartment and negotiating a lease all on my own, making friends in a city with essentially zero connections and learning how to juggle paying off student loans, a hefty rent and to save each month toward my financial #goals.

But now, I'm on to my next chapter. I'm happy to share that next week I'll be moving from Denver to St. Louis, where I'll join Famous Footwear's corporate marketing team to help lead social media for the brand. I can't express how excited I am to join such a talented team for a national, household name brand! I'm looking forward to seeing what my new city will hold for me, as well as the new friendships that will undoubtedly be forged.

There will also be new changes coming to this blog over the coming weeks! After much thought and consideration, I now know it's time that I become the face of That Working Girl. For the last 4 years I've been hiding behind a logo, thinking that sharing too much of myself would cloud the pertinent career and professional advice that I've loved sharing with you all. But now, I know that this isn't true. I can't wait to share more of myself and my story with you all over the next few months, and I can't wait to let you get to know Lindsay better. Expect the same career-centric content that we know and love, in addition to lifestyle features and snippets of my new adventure in St. Louis.

Thanks to everyone who has become a friend during the lifetime of this blog, and I can't wait for what's next!

XO,
Lindsay
