What We Love: Stitch Fix

That Working Girl Unlike most of the female species, I hate shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I love buying clothes. It’s just the experience of shopping in a crowded, people-filled, busy store that rubs me the wrong way. For that reason, I’m a huge online shopper - I have boxes delivered to my doorstep almost on a daily basis (I’m sure the UPS guy has gotten to know my front door)! Whether you’re like me and don’t love the in-store shopping experience, or whether you’re a shopping fiend, you’re going to love Stitch Fix.

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is an online service that gives you personal stylists who handpick clothing items and accessories just for you and deliver them right to your door! When you get your Stitch Fix delivery, try everything on - keep what you like and return the rest!

How does it work?

You start by filling out a style profile so the Stitch Fix stylists know more about your size, shape, budget, and your personal style. You can choose to receive various types of clothing, too - from work attire, to nightlife wear, to comfy lounge-around clothing, or some combo of all (your stylists will even check out your Pinterest for any fashion pins you have)! Then, pick the date you’d like to receive your delivery (I get mine monthly). When you get your Stitch Fix in the mail, just try everything on. You get to keep anything you like and return anything that you don’t like or what doesn’t fit. Once you decide which items are staying and which are going back, fill out your check out form online (this is where you pay, and you can also give feedback to your stylists for better style/size matching next time!).

How much does it cost?

There’s a $20 styling fee for each Stitch Fix you get, but this fee gets applied to any purchase you make (so if you keep something from your delivery, your $20 styling fee gets subtracted from the total cost). If you don’t keep anything in the box, you’re still charged the $20 styling fee. But, if you keep all five items that you get, you not only get the $20 styling fee off the total at checkout, but you also get a 25% discount off your entire purchase! The cost of each clothing item or accessory will vary, but you can guide your stylist on what price points you’d like to stay within.

I can honestly say that thanks to Stitch Fix, I may never shop in a store again! Just kidding, I’m sure I’ll have to go out at some point… but this service is truly amazing. I have gotten such great new work clothes (blouses, a black blazer, great black pants, and more!) from Stitch Fix, and it’s delivered right to my door each month.
